This past weekend I drove into Long Island City, NY to meet photographer Stephanie Reinish and her husband Chris to photograph their beautiful baby boy Hunter. It is always such an honor to photograph another photographer and her family! It creates the opportunity for her as a mother to be in FRONT of the camera, with her beautiful new family for photographs to cherish forever. So many photographers that I work with share the same struggle of having so many pictures of her husband and children- but so few of herself in any of them.

As photographers, I cannot stress the importance enough to have this experience for yourself. We always urge our own clients to make the investment, to value what we do, and to take the time to be photographed with your loved ones. But how do often do we ourselves do it? I know that when I have children someday I will want to not only have beautiful photographs filling my home then, but to have the portraits to hand down to THEIR children. It is something I strongly value and so look forward to.
