My favorite FREE Resources for the Creative Entrepreneur

Podcasts for the creative entrepreneur and photographer

One of the best resources I can recommend for other creative entrepreneurs is the world of podcasts that are available for FREE at our fingertips! I absolutely love learning about business through podcasts, mostly because I never make the time to read books! So this past year, I decided to create an Audible account, and regularly subscribe to podcasts that I am able to utilize as I multi-task! I listen to them during the day while I work at my computer (I tend to be a BIT more productive than if I watch Gilmore Girls), and I download them to my phone so that I can listen to them in my car, or even when I work out.

Here are my top favorites buisness related Podcasts Right Now:

Entreleadership– I definitely have found myself listening to this one the most. They have a great variety of guests and topics, and it’s not filled with too many advertisements. They keep it on topic too, which makes me feel like I am not wasting my time. I value content over casual conversation in a podcast, and this one delivers.

The Sprouting Photographer – a podcast all about the business of photography. I am always checking on this one to find interviews with photographer’s whose businesses I greatly admire. Katelyn James did a great one about growing your business through blogging, I also learned a lot from Jared Baumen’s interview on content marketing. There are so many great ones tucked in there!

Entrepreneur on Fire– something I really found value in this past year is learning business related topics from leaders who are outside of the photography industry. I started asking myself, who are the leaders I am looking up to learning from? Podcasts like EO Fire have introduced me to so many amazing business leaders with such great insight that I can take and apply to my own little business.

This Is Your Life with Michael Hyatt– If you want to be better at goal setting and making things HAPPEN in your business, then this is such a great podcast to tune into. I have jotted down countless notes on the go from so many of these episodes.

Being Boss– another great business podcast with insight on life balance, the unpredictability that being a creative business owner can produce, and resources these two creatives have found to be helpful. It’s a bit more casual for what I look for then the ones I listen to the most, but I still subscribe to pick and choose through some good ones.

The Portfolio Life with Jeff Goins– Again, I am always looking to learn from entrepreneurs who are outside of my own industry for insight and resources. He has some great guest interviews with leaders and authors including Jon Acuff, Seth Godin, Michael Hyatt, and more.

#GirlBoss Radio– I believe this podcast is supposed to launch TODAY, and I am so looking forward to tuning in and seeing what the powerhouse Sophia Amoruso has created. So I can’t officially vouch for it yet, but I loved her book, so I’m anticipating some great content!

Have I been missing out on a great one that isn’t on this list? Mention your favorites in the comments below so I can subscribe to some new channels!
